The White Clinic (Arabic: Abyaz Clinic) project involves the renovation of an office building and its transformation into a medical clinic. Located in the Harithiya district of Baghdad, the clinic integrates both specialized and general healthcare services. A central design focus is the creation of a distinct identity for the shared spaces between treatment units. The clinic’s visual identity and branding are inspired by sinusoidal geometry, echoing the shape of a wave, which is seamlessly translated into the architectural design of the interior.
Fluid, light-infused lines define the space, drawing from the wave-like geometry and the dynamic pathways throughout the project. These elements are further harmonized with the clinic’s signature green color, representing health and nature, blending into the overall environment. The clinic’s interiors are designed to be bright, luminous, and shadowless, evoking a sense of cleanliness and well-being.
The linear movement is emphasized through architectural features, stretching from the central spine of the building to the treatment rooms, leading visitors to their destinations with clarity. The contrast between the organizational branding in the non-medical areas and the pristine white of the treatment zones serves as an additional organizing strategy, ensuring a cohesive flow throughout the space.
